Keith Becker Jr.

Owner and Master Fitter

Keith has been playing golf for over 30 years and has enjoyed success playing the game at every level. After a successful high school playing career where he was a first team All-State selection at Churchill High School (San Antonio), he played Division 1 collegiate golf at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has competed in a number of elite amateur and professional tournaments during his playing career, and has a thorough understanding of the golf swing, which allows him to provide a very in-depth fitting experience. Prior to MK Golf, he enjoyed a successful career in both the Healthcare and EPC industries.

Mark Vallier

Co-Founder

Mark founded MK Golf with Kirk James in 2005. He has been repairing and building golf clubs for over 40 years. Prior to MK Golf, Mark worked for 35 years at CPS Energy, holding many positions. His experience as a machinist and his many years of working with clubs has made him one of the true experts in the field of club building and repair. His knowledge of the golf swing and understanding of the design characteristics of club heads and shafts makes him a true master fitter. He has fit hundreds of amateurs and professionals since founding MK Golf, and has passed his many years of knowledge on to the staff of MK Golf. Mark now serves as a consultant and advisor to MK Golf.

Kirk James

Co-Founder

Kirk founded MK Golf with Mark Vallier in 2005. Prior to founding MK Golf, Kirk had a successful career as a commercial real estate lawyer. A certified “golf geek” his entire life, Kirk has become a master fitter through diligent study and fitting hundreds of amateurs and professionals. In addition to his fitting duties, he was responsible for all of MK Golf’s back-office matters. He too, like Mark, has passed his many years of knowledge on to the staff of MK Golf and continues to serve as a consultant and advisor.

Jamie Watson

General Manager / Master Builder / Master Fitter

Jamie is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of MK Golf, including the club building and repair shop operations. He has been a member of the MK Golf Team for over 9 years. Prior to joining MK Golf, Jamie worked in various retail positions in the golf industry. Jamie has several certificates of achievement including being a Master Fitter for Fujikura Golf Shafts as well as being a Master Fitter for Callaway Golf. Jamie has gone to several product training events for all Major Manufacturers to extend his knowledge to best fit what’s right for your game.

Jeremy Jacobson

Club Builder / Club Fitter

Jeremy joined the MK Golf team in September 2021. He has over 8 years of experience in the golf industry ranging from fitting, club repair, club building, retail operations, and golf course day-to-day operation. Prior to working in the golf industry, Jeremy received his degree from Missouri Western State University, where he played football and was an assistant coach. Jeremy and his family join us from Pinehurst, North Carolina, where he worked at Pinehurst Resort for 3 years.

Ben Martinez

Club Builder / Club Fitter

Ben joined the MK Golf Team in January 2021. Although he specializes in Fitting, he also builds and repairs. He has learned these skills under the mentorship of Mark, Kirk, Jamie & Dustin. He is a graduate of The University of Incarnate Word, where he played collegiate golf. Prior to joining MK Golf, he played full-time on the mini-tour circuit for 3 years.
